Collectable Framed Models

Wayne has been working on a new project for 2009. Working with a professional
model maker to create framed models of aircraft, land and sea transport.
Many of the aircraft involved in The Battle of Britain.
The Spitfire VA as flown by Douglas Bader during 1941 and a
Hurricane MK 1 are already available.
Each model is drawn by an experienced draftsman and then cut by a computer
controlled laser machine into detailed layers of veneer, then sent to Wayne for framing.
Information is being gathered at the moment on the Boulton Paul Defiant
and is planned to be the next commission available.
Wayne is looking at various limited editions for the future which will be signed
by the pilot who flew the particular aircraft during The Battle of Britain.
To make these artworks complete the model will contain squadron code
and aircraft ID number.
The overall frame size is 16.5 inches x 10.25 inches and for each model sold 10%
of the proceeds will go to various societies and associations. For example 10%
of sales for the Spitfire and the Hurricane will be donated to the
Battle of Britain Historical Society.
